Bruce Cockburn

When I was a younger lad, I was very fond of Bruce Cockburn, and still have a great many of his LPs. As I got a little older, and grew more conservative philosophically, I tired of his message, but I still love his guitar playing.
 
I was thinking that a Cockburn must really hurt.
 
I've been to many of his shows and when he has performed solo acoustic, he is incredible. The full band with him was never engaging IMO.
Part of his appeal is his storytelling and support for issues of equity, indigenous peoples, and NGOs. That said, his instrumental release "speechless" is fantastic.
