Everyone... Me and my wife have gotten into roasting coffee beans at home. This morning I roasted for our Sunday morning coffee a coffee from Kenya. It is from Ruthagati C0-Operative AB. Please share your morning addiction!

Jeff...sounds delicious. I'm lame when it comes to coffee but I am having Starbucks Breakfast Blend lol...

Nothing exotic, just Dunkin' Donuts "Dunkin' Dark". IMO, it's a big improvement over their regular blend.

I am a big fan of freshly ground regular Dunkin' Donuts. Not too strong so I can enjoy the taste. Mmmmmmm

I always grind my beans right before i put them in my Technivorm coffeemaker, I order my beans from Peet's, today it was Aged Sumatra !! Yum !!!

Michael... Your pictures are fine are computers are upside down. :D

I'm pretty sure it's something to with my iPad and how it handles the uploads.

Anyways, I've never heard of anyone going to the extremes of roasting their own beans. I like! I will have to look into it a bit more. I do get some great cups...but I also sometimes have to "settle" for better than average...I assume it's either the beans or espresso maker that is at fault. I'm still learning...

My coffee routine is pretty simple, I'm a one cup person usualy so the Kuerig Platinum Plus is great fo my wife and I.....We both enjoy the Kona blends and order the Coffee Pods from Hawaii.....

Michael... I get my beans from The Captains Coffee from North Carolina. He has a very informative website (http://www.thecaptainscoffee.com/). It's a lot of fun to try coffees from around the world! :)

Everyone... Roasting our coffee for the next 3 days. This one is Bali Blue Moon (Organic Rainforest Certified).

Jeff, what do you use for roasting?

I love coffee. Usually I get French Roast or Espresso Blend from a local grocer. I've been using a plunger type system lately. It seems to produce more flavor than my usual drip method.

Thanks Jeff. Those are the perfect size for DIY'ers. Is there much of a learning curve involved or is it basically a blend of time and temp? I would imagine being able to roast your own would product a better end product instead of using something that's been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long.

Doug... It's pretty basic. I basically read the directions and hints from the website I buy from. Once we started we knew we were never going back. Below is where I buy all my beans & supplies. They are really nice people.
