    VPNs

    Any recommendations for VPNs?

Would prefer something made in the USA.

Appreciate the feedback, but those VPNs don't work with Windows Vista.

Windows Vista? That OS has been discontinued for many several years now. MS is about to release Windows 11 so you might want to consider investing in a new computer first. That will solve your software compatibility issues and will improve the security of your system.

Thanks, but I have no desire to get a new computer or use Windows 11.

Been using an Avast VPN, but they raised their prices, that's why I started the thread.

    Re: VPNs

I would not use a free VPN service (Avast is pretty cheap, so less than cheap implies free). They have to make their money somehow, and that almost always means their VPN service is either malware or not really protecting you.

Also, Windows Vista has been end of life for many years, so depending on what your intent is with the VPN service, you may be limiting or undoing the security benefits, even if you use a current version of Firefox or Chrome Browser. You definitely should not be using the Windows Vista version of Internet Explorer, VPN or not.

Wow, I didn't know that trying to find a lower price meant you wanted something for free.

Once again, I appreciate all the product suggestions, I'm sure they're all great products.
