    Re: Room 1.3 DSP

Been messing around with this since the 1.3 update yesterday. Some nice features.

After having Roon for about a year and a half I still can't get used to the "consumable" queue. It just seems weird to have your tracks/albums disappear from the queue when playing -- as opposed to every other player software I've ever used, including Lumin. Was hoping there would be an option to leave the queue intact with the 1.3 update as lots of folks have commented on this in the Roon discussion forum, but no such luck. I don't know if I'll ever use it as my primary player for this reason.

One way to approach this (work around it?) is to use the 'add to playlist' feature where you can say "new" and give it a name. Then start playing that playlist and for every song you want to add to the current queue, do it by adding it to that specific playlist. That way your entire queue will be saved automatically every time you add a new song to it.

Thanks Ian. I've done that a little lately. Guess it's just a matter of getting used to doing something different.

One of the control options I like with the Aurender App is the ability to select the consume queue or leave the queue intact. I prefer to leave the queue until I choose to clear it. I often like to replay a song or two.

    I'm with you Dan.

What I like about the Lumin app - and maybe the Aurender app is like this as well - is that you can delete an entire album at once. So if I want to take an album out of "rotation" I can. In the Roon playlist "workaround" you can only delete things one track at a time.

    Re: Roon 1.3 DSP

Playlist are incredibly easy, including adding full albums now. I guess I am not so much into playing around with settings, etc. I find Roon so incredibly easy and feature packed. And all the stuff added in 1.3 is more than I will ever play with ....

In version 1.3 it is incredibly easy to select all tracks you want to remove from a playlist and then click "remove"... I just tried it with my touch screen surface... very easy.
