RG6 Cable
Does someone make a high quality RG6 Coaxial cable?
I'm looking for something either bulk or terminated to run from my Frontier box outside to my listening room. It would replace an RG6 cable from either Lowes or HD from 2013.Synology 1019D+ - SGC Sonictransporter I9 w Roon/HQ Player- UltraRendu- PBD Stream IF to Playback Designs MPS5 via fiber optic - ARC 40th Anniversary Pre - ARC 610 T's - Martin Logan CLX's - 4 Martin Logan Depth i Subs - Shunyata Hydra, DIY PCOCC interconnects, speaker cables and power cords with Furutech terminations. Blue Jean CAT 6's between front end equipment.
LHY FMC and Corning Fiber to rebuilt LHY SW-6 switch in listening room.

Re: RG6 Cable
The RGxx cable numbering system is ancient and obsolete.
Audio and EMI/RFI expert Jim Brown writes:
RG-numbers have not been a spec for half a century. They are a generic descriptor, telling us Radio Frequency Characteristic Impedance and approximate outside diameter, and nothing more. Rather, we should be specifying (or talking about) a particular part number from a particular manufacturer. My last print copy of Belden's catalog is probably 15 years old. It lists fifty two RG59 cables, sixty four RG6s, eighteen RG8s, and thirty two RG11s.
Contemporary MIL specs use a very different numbering system.

While some cables that meet the RG6 spec are suitable for audio there are other that are only suitable for cable TV signals.
Stick with major cable manufactures like Belden, Canare and Mogami.

Note that many excellent, suitable bulk cables, cost less than $2.00 per foot.Last edited by Speedskater; May 18, 2020 at 10:07 AM. Reason: added content

Re: RG6 Cable
I usually just use Canare cable as I have the tools and Canare connectors and it is not that hard to do (vs. typical compression connectors used by the cable company). Just use them for video as I have an antenna for TV reception (had the builder's contractor prewire to the garage attic so I could connect and label everything). Markertek (and others) also sell custom cables from major manufacturers.
Main System - Lumin U2, Modwright LS36.5 DM Preamp, VTV Purifi 1ET-7040SA with tube buffer, EMM Labs DAC 2X (ver. 2), Torus RM-20, Thiel CS 3.7s, 2 Rel S/812 subs
Back-up 1 - Premium Audio mini Gan Amp, Oppo 103D, 2 Richard Gray cond, Selah SA-2s, Sumiko S5 sub, Teac UD-503 DAC, Carver (modded) C-9
Back-up 2 - Onkyo TX-NR797, Panasonic DP-UB820, Vansevers cond, B&W P6s, PowerSoundAudio S1500 sub

I would be remiss, if I overlooked Blue Jeans Cable.

Re: RG6 Cable
More of a video, digital and analog cable than an antenna cable.
There are antenna's from 1 MHz to 1 GHz. Different cables are more suitable depending on the frequency.

But looking further, in the 1694A specs:

Re: RG6 Cable
Unless someone thinks there are much better cable I will probably go with the Canare 1694A. Like Phil A I have Canare crimping tools also.
