    "Quobuz Media Is Loading Slowly..."

I'm wondering why this problem hasn't been solved yet knowing it's been around for years? I thought I was immune to it until it hit me recently. The problem is certainly not due to "network connectivity" issues.

My digital rig is pretty straight forward. My house is wired with 1GB fiber optic cable from my local utility company. The 1GB server is connected to an ethernet jack on the wall that connects to an ethernet jack in my stereo room. From there an ethernet cable is plugged into the wall jack and then into my Netgear Nighthawk router. My Roon Nucleus+ server and my HiFi Rose 150B are connected to my Nighthawk router via ethernet cables. I run Roon Remote on my Apple iPad. My utility company measured the internet speed coming out of my Nighthawk router and I have over 850MB. That's drastic overkill for what is needed to run a Roon Nucleus+ server. This setup has worked flawlessly until this week when I got the dreaded "Quobuz media is loading slowly" message.

After researching this problem on the web, I followed the recommendations for cleaning up the Roon cache and cleaning up the Roon library. Neither fixed the issue. I powered down all components in my digital rig and rebooted and this didn't fix the problem. I tried logging out of my Roon account and my Quobuz account and logging back in, but that had no impact either. I read where one gentleman said his answer to the problem was rebooting the Roon server everyday. That doesn't sound like a real solution. I know everything works until it breaks, but I don't understand what is broken in this digital handshake between my router, the Nucleus+, and my HiFi Rose 150B. It's also maddening when you know this setup was working flawlessly and you didn't change anything that would cause this issue.

So, the question remains for why is Quobuz loading slowly?

Re: "Quobuz Media Is Loading Slowly..."

When the system searches for Quobuz then it is searching for the wrong streaming service because it is Qobuz

To be serious, what might help is to give the roonserver and streamer enough and seperate bandwidth and prioritize that in your router

The Nucleus+ and the HiFi Rose 150B are the only devices connected to the router and the speed coming from the router is blazing fast.

Yeah, but who forgot to feed the hamster? I'm thinking the problem is software based and not hardware based and there is an issue between the constant Roon updates and the Quobuz software which is causing a digital handshake issue.

If your router is the only thing in between, then there are a few possibilities

    - qobuz is wrong
    - a loose cable
    - your router is not working properly
    - your streamer is not working properly
    - the roon server is not ok
    - still some setting is wrong in your router
    - something wrong with your internet privider

I think the hardware should be excluded first before the conclusion can be made it is due to Qobuz. Easy start if you think it is due to Qobuz, take a trial of Tidal and see if there happends the same. If so, it is something else.

What settings could be wrong with the router? The DNS is the same for the Nucleus+ and the Hifi Rose 150B.

It’s likely Roon. Use the native app and test.

Re: "Quobuz Media Is Loading Slowly..."

    Try the followings:
    - Native app as suggested above
    - Nucleus USB output to your DAC
    - In router, disable firewall, internet security, Netgear Armor, QoS and any advanced feature
    - Set router DNS to 8.8.8.8 and reboot the whole network
    - (Only as a last resort) Set router VPN to elsewhere

Mark just went through about 6 artist, all loaded right up and started playing without any delay. OF course I do not use Roon.

Thanks. I saw that when I was researching the problem. My network is very simple. My Roon Nucleus+ and Rose 150B are both plugged into my router and I have no digital dingleberries in my signal path.

Thanks Chris. Your digital rig is different than mine so I'm not surprised they perform differently.

Agree, I go straight from my cable modem, ( cat 7) to the Router , router (cat 7) to the Lumin, that's it.
