    Network upgrade suggestions?

I am looking into making improvements in my network delivery system.
I currently have an Xfinity combo Modem/router/switch. Basic model.
Are there any separate pieces (of reasonable cost) that would be an upgrade from this?
Any with fiber optic out in case that would be a good thing to do?

If you are not having trouble or being dissatisfied with your network, don't change the equipment. Some people believe the use of LPS might help.

As for SQ oriented network cable tweaks, I've replied to your other thread "Fiber optic Vs Cat type Ethernet cable ".

IME the EtherRegen with a good LPSU + an outboard clock + a decent ethernet cables like the Shunyatas make a nice improvement in sonics. Well worth the $$.

    i couldnt agree more!
i am a newbie on this topic, so i can not compare brands vs other brands.
however, i did add 2 innuos phoenix net in series and it is a geamchanger. from flat to 3d holographic, relaxed with more dynamic contrast, resolution, slam, weight, lower midrange.....actually from not really enjoying to liking a lot. adding then the shunyata nr and digital cables was just the perfect thing.

Wow...."stacked Phoenixes..." Adding those in series, with their excellent clocks, is really going to knock the clock phase noise way, way, down. Combined with the Shunyata cables, I'll bet it sounds absolutely fab.

    Re: Network upgrade suggestions?

Recently I added a Melco S100 switch to my system, large improvement like described by U-sound, also ordered a Farad Super 3 powersupply with a Level 2 DC cable and fuse upgrade, that should give another nice improvement.

Rectification, ordered the Farad power supply through my own dealer, but just hear it's not possible anymore.
Will have to order through the Farad website
