How to play music from youtube on an old Sound/Audio/HiFi System

    Hello guys,

I'm trying for some time to find a solution to the following problem, and i hope i will be as specific as i can.

I have an old Sound/Audio/Hi-Fi System with great sound (Technics Amp + Dynaudio Speakers) and i want to be able to play music from youtube via Wi-Fi on it - i use Musi App on Apple Iphone, which relies on Youtube. So the first problem here that came to my mind is that i'm trying to play the "audio" from the youtube video in the Sound System and not directly audio (like songs from the phone's memory, Spotify or other "just music no video" apps).

I did some research and i found that, the simplest way is to connect a bluetooth adapter via jack to the Sound Systems, connect the Iphone to it and play music. Again, i'm not sure here if youtube can play on the Sound System, but, unfortunately, i read that the audio quality will suffer because of the bluetooth compression. I've abandoned the ideea and headed to the allegedly better way - wi-fi streaming (less compression).

I saw that there are a few gadgets that i can buy - Google Chromecast Audio (is not produced anymore), Audiocast M5, or Yamaha WXAD-10. I'm not sure if these will solve the problem because, as i said, the App i'm using (Musi) or Youtube are based on Video content, not audio content.

If you have some ideas guys, i will really appreciate them.

    Thanks a lot!

    Andrei

If you just want music, why not get something like the HEOS Link or Bluesound Node and subscribe to a music service like Tidal or Qobuz?

If just sticking with YouTube you could find a DAC with Apple Airplay. Better than Blurtooth but won't do higher than CD quality from what I understand.

If you had an older iPhone with a headphone jack you could just plug into that and run the other end of the cord into your amp.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

I am trying to "build" a wireless system out of it. I think a DAC with Apple airplay will work, but will it play from youtube?
HEOS and Bluesound are a little bit over my budget for now.
I like to listen to live sessions found on youtube and i don't think Tidal or Qobuz have them, but i'll give thea a try.

    Thanks!

I've never used it but I understood Airplay to work just like Bluetooth. If you have a compatible Airplay device you can stream anything from your phone. I believe it even does video.

    How to AirPlay audio

Stream music, podcasts, and other audio to an Apple TV, HomePod, or AirPlay 2-compatible speaker or smart TV. Play audio across multiple speakers throughout your home in perfect sync. Or play something different in every room — all with AirPlay.

1.Connect your iOS device and Apple TV or AirPort Express to the same Wi-Fi network.
2.On your iOS device, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to access Control Center.
    3.Tap AirPlay.
4.Tap the name of the device you want to stream content to.
