The MSB Discrete DAC starts at $12,500 with single power supply and the Network Renderer is another $1,995, not exactly a fair comparison to a $5,000 all in one streamer DAC. Originally Posted by mep

Ah so MSB finally raised the price. It stood at $9,950 base until recently.
Either way an unfair comparison, but if it's being said that the RS150 can compete at 2-3x the price the Discrete should be thrown in there.

I am sure the big display adds to the wow factor but offers no benefit in the SQ dept.
