    Eversolo hype

Nowadays everyone is talking about the new brand Eversolo. It is a real hype. This month the top model dmp-a8 came out. How does it compare to the old end brand streamers?

    Re: Eversolo hype

I've owned a DMP-A6 ME for several months. Functionally, it is excellent, build quality is good enough. Software bugs are squashed quickly with regular releases, which are easy to install. I've just found it to be very solid overall. Sonically it's decent, competitive for ~$1k USD, but the internal DAC certainly is not going to melt your heart. I've also tried it as a streamer via USB into my Bricasti M1SE and it is a very nice combination vs the modest investment. It's found a new place in my home theater setup, since it can reliably stream about anything you could want, and has a nice UI and display. The physical remote doesn't come with it (uses a phone app), so you do need to spend $15 extra for that.

I think that's a really good and fair summation.

Here in Buenos Aires it is the same... everybody talking about Eversolo.

I would like to test it again Lumin D2 or another Lumin product to see the real sound differences if any.

Yes, Lumin or HiFi Rose RS150 or RS130 (for streaming) would be interesting. I think I already know the answer though.
