I’m interested in the Aurender line of Streamers. The N200 looks like the sweet spot in the line. Don’t need a DAC so the A200 not for me. I have a store near me where I can audition the N200. If I really like it I’m going to question how much better is the N20 at twice the price. Unfortunately no where that I can audition that model near me. So has any one had that opportunity and if so is it worth that pricing doubling and if so can you describe why? Thanks

What does the rest of your system look like? Current streamer? DAC? Amplification? Speakers?

This is very important information. If the rest of your system is worthy, my opinion is the N20 is one and done. If you get the N200 you will always wonder.:hmmm: And eventually upgrade especially if you upgrade downstream. So the N20 is actually less expensive. ;)

If it's in your budget, get the N20. It's superb. I wrote the review of it for TAS, so you can find it if you search for it.

I'm also in a similar camp to JFRMusic. I can't help but feel like there's a bit more to squeeze out of my streamer front end (Innuos Zenith Mk2) through my Kii Threes. It's a significant price/cost leap though and likely an illogical and unjustified cost leap in terms of squeezing that last ounce of performance. The Innuos sounds great on some evenings, and it falls flat on others.

Found the review. Very comprehensive. Still the question will be whether the additional 6k results in significant or marginal upgrade in sound quality over the N200 which is an excellent unit. Need to give it more thought and decide after I get a chance to audition the N200 in a few weeks.

Yep, understood; also I can't provide any input on products I've not heard.

Moreover, each customer has to decide for themselves whether purchasing a higher-specification product is a value proposition, or not.

Good luck with your search, cheers.

The biggest jump in the Aurender lineup is N200 to N20.

I was certainly really impressed with it, when I had it in for review for TAS, Mike. I was using my SoTM SMS-200 UltraNeo as my network bridge in my "streaming setup" at the time it arrived in-house for review, and the N20 was a LOT better. It's music streaming software, Conductor, also sounds better than Roon, as you know.

It's also beautifully made, has a gorgeous front panel display and, it has a proper ground terminal on the rear panel for connecting to...Altaira. What's not to like? 😺

Cheers.
