    Re: Clarisys Pics

Those are beautifully done and are very striking in a printed ad or screen context where this Gotham-esque aesthetic is desired. They are exceptionally well done and beautiful.

Strictly opinion: I think it does obscure some of the marvelous (edge and other) detail and visual impact of the speakers. Did the photographer also produce photos against a striking white background? This speaker line deserves both ways of viewing all the great detail...

Wise words you wrote a few years ago...

I guess the lesson I have learned (from your post) is that I will no longer comment on any thread on AS unless I'm in 100% backslapping agreement with the OP.

I thought the photos were beautiful and was saying so while offering another point of view. If that came across as overly critical, then I offer apologies.

Honest feedback is how we learn. If photos are taken for marketing purposes then it is important to know how the photos are received by the target audience. Not everyone will view the photos in the same way.

I was underwhelmed by the "glam shots". I preferred the "real world" photos with more contrast. But that is just my opinion.

I was offered a white background and I didn’t want it. I like the black background.

What’s funny is that the online/print mags are asking for “glam shots” to accompany the reviews. Guess they don’t like my poor iPhone photos. Clarisys Pics

I think that each type of photo has their place.

I like the glamour shots. They show the level of quality in the workmanship. The photos of them in actual rooms show what they look like in use. Both together give someone how they really look.

Thank you for the kind comments.
The amps took quite a while to break in. Today, however, they really make the speakers sing...

The photos are well-staged, composed, and lit, but there is significant red, yellow and magenta color contamination in the product shots using the black seamless background. Most folks won't notice, but it really stands out to my real estate/architectural/product photographer's eye.

Here's the red and magenta color contamination. There's yellow as well, but not as much as the red and magenta.

Happy fix these photos in Photoshop; it's a piece of cake...just let me know.

    Re: Clarisys Pics

Here's a shot of the Clarisys speakers after fixing the color contamination. I also added just a hint of contast with a subtle Curves move, and reduced the luminance on the right side of the right-most speaker using a Lights 3 luminosity mask in Lumenzia so that it wasn't so blown out and shows more texture and detail.

Here's the red and magenta color contamination. There's yellow as well, but not as much as the red and magenta.

Happy fix these photos in Photoshop; it's a piece of cake...just let me know.
I don't know why you continue to show pictures that distorts the actual pictures that have been posted in order to 'prove' you are the world's best photographer and use audio forums to solicit yourself.

I’m very happy with the way they look. Of course, I’m the world’s worst photographer, so I’m no expert. I asked Lee about the changes and let’s just say he wasn’t impressed.

No worries, Mike. As the client, you have "final say" on what constitutes the value proposition of the work product for you, and I respect that. Cheers.

FWIW: Lee's images seem to "look" more inviting to my untrained eye.

Yep, no worries. That may be because they are warmer in color tone than a "dead-nuts neutral" photograph, and that may appeal to some folks, and that's just fine.

Folks' "artistic sensibiities" are all equally valid, in my book, and I respect that philosophy/sensibility.

    Cheers.

Makes me miss doing product photography. It was fun. My work was on a much smaller scale though, usually using a 60mm or 100mm macro lens for small machining tools and such. Largest items were about the size of an average amplifier.
