Who needs a mono cartridge anyway?

For those just starting out on their vinyl journey....

It doesn’t matter how good your stereo cartridge is, they just can’t compare to a good mono cartridge for a mono record. The Miyajima Zero Mono stomps all over the best stereo carts I have when playing a mono record.

The soundstage is so expansive, yes, with mono! If you plan on listening to some older mono recordings, do yourself a favor and get a decent mono cart. The Miyajima mono is highly recommended.

Hi Mike....I do agree. I have both the Lyra Helikon Stereo and Mono cartridges the mono cartridge is most definitely better than the stereo when listening to mono LP's.

I'll second that the Miyajima Zero is ultra special. My mono pressings have never sounded better.
