On a whim today I bought a Ortofon MC Anna cartridge. Need to liquidate and free up space elsewhere.

I have two Miyajima Kansui cartridges with less than 10 hours on either. Will sell for $2,400 each. That is a 1/3 off for a basically brand new cartridge. Can have local dealer verify fact it is perfect with just a few hours on it. Any interest?

"On a whim today I bought a Ortofon MC Anna cartridge." You're my hero! Nice looking cart you have for sale, good luck.

Congrats Darrin. That's the exact cartridge I'm looking at. Looking forward to your impressions.

Ok before I post on Audiogon for $2,400 will offer this for $2,000 to any audioshark member.

Buying Ypsilon step up transformers. Anyone have experience with those??

Nice. I would be using an mc 10 with Goldfinger statement and mc 16 with MC Anna. Thru arc ref 2se

Should work well..... let us know I'm in the process of auditioning Phono Stages.... Just had the Allnic 3000V and Head Amp combo here for demo. IMHO, thought the CJ/Ypsilon combo was better. I have two more phono stages in the works to demo we'll see how it goes.

Right now listening to Miyajima zero mono thru bobs cinemag 1131 into Herron vtph2 and it is top flight.

Hello. I owned the Vector 4 when I had a basis 2000. Great arm. Like the Graham Phantom it can handle any cartridge. I went from entry level Benz to the heavy LP-S. No issues.

Well, I hate to sound like JV, (I have a lot of sympathy for his job even if I rarely agree with him). What exactly do you say about a product that's an order of magnitude better than anything else you've experienced? The Ortofon Anna is just awesome. I'll have to hear something better before I can begin to find fault with it. There are others that can compare with the Clearaudio Goldfinger or Lyra Atlas. I have not had either in my system

The Proteus is a nice piece. Anything I say about it will sound harsh because I'm comparing to the Anna. The price is right on it. IMHO it is better than say a comparably priced Benz LP-S. Myles has a review coming... know he likes it a lot too.

Hope that helps.... We need a young HP to do one of his old style cartridge surveys, lots of good ones out there, maybe even a great one....
