Low Profile or 90-degree wall plugs?

Is there such a thing as a quality power cable with a 90 degree or low-profile plug? New furniture in front of the primary outlet "needs" to live close to the wall. Standard audio wall plugs are, of course, typically big and bulky, and stick out at least 2" plus the space occupied by the stiff cable itself. If someone made a quality power cable with a 90 degree plug backshell, I'd almost certainly be a buyer. I use them in aerospace applications all the time, and easily pass critical power and control signals with bit- (and analog-) perfect accuracy in a far more challenging environment, so I know it's possible...

Don't know your preferred budget range, but you can contact Patrick at Cullen Cables. He will make them with whatever plug style you want and length you want.

Also for a slightly higher price try Pete at Triode Wire Labs as I am sure he has access to the Furutech right angle plugs.

2FlyingYorkies........You might want to consider a recessed wall outlet.

Re: Low Profile or 90-degree wall plugs?

Thanks - I'll look into those options. I'm sure the Furutech 90 degree parts are nice, but I bet they're not cheap either! The recessed outlet box is interesting, but I wonder if it's possible to swap in an audiophile/hospital grade outlet?
