    BNC to BNC

Just curious if there is a "stand out" BNC to BNC cable those with master clocks use? Or do you use a higher end cable at all in this area?

It would seem this connection is probably not one the company would sell a lot of. In a quick search I saw a AQ Carbon and Cardas in their affordable line. I didn't see any in the upper level series. I did see a comparatively expensive harmonic Tech.

I have had very positive results using Shunyata BNC clock cables.

Yep, me too. Put a Venom-X BNC clock cable on my AfterDark master clock for EtherREGEN. Really brought a nice improvement.

    Re: BNC to BNC

Shunyata Sigma v2 (past) and Omega Clock-50 (current)here. Alpha v2 Clock-50 is also a great way into the line.

Superior results compared to anything I've owned previously including v1 Shunyata, Acrolink-Mexcel, etc.

Same for their AES/EBU 110-ohm and also 75-ohm cables for other purposes.

    Re: BNC to BNC

Wow! Looks like Shunyata has a good selection but those things are expensive. A G05 is said to cost $5k, the Omega 50 costs $4700.00, an Alpha $2500.00 just for perspective.

I was sort of looking for the BNC equivalent of the AQ Diamond, performs very well at a reasonable price.

Try Shunyata Venom-X BNC. Don't be discouraged by the fact that is their entry level cable.

    Re: BNC to BNC

It's good you clarified your budget estimations as your initial question was open-ended.

Elberoth nailed it with a recommendation of the Venom-X. That stated, if you need 50-ohm, I do not believe the Venom-X is available other than 75-ohm, however, I could be mistaken.

The Delta v2 just above is also more gentle on the wallet and a quality clock cable...

    Agreed.
The Venom-X clock cable is exactly the one I am using and I am very pleased with it.

BTW, the Venom-X line are outstanding at their price points and in my experience, compete with cables costing multiples of their price point. Also using a Venom-X XLR IC for my system presently to connect the Lumin P1 to the Inspiration integrated. Also have a pair of the Venom-X speaker cables I use for my GR-Research X-LS Encore loudspeakers. And, recently started using the new Venom-X EF (Extra Flexible) PC for powering my Gemini combo power distributor/Altaira grounding hub, and it was a big step up over the Venom HC v2 I was using previously.

Just for the sake of accuracy and for folks possibly interested in purchasing one, Adam was referring to the Venom-X clock cable, not the Venom cable. You're correct that it's presently only available as a 75-ohm impedance cable.

Venom-X is a completey different line of cables with different materials and design than Venom. Venom-X is a BIG jump in performance over the Venom line.

    Cheers, gents.

    Re: BNC to BNC

You are correct, and I was taking the short typing approach. Have no fear as to possible confusion as I believe there never was a Venom level clock cable before Venom-X.
