Amp PC/SC Interplay?
Interesting quote from Jay Luong (Audio Bacon), who has written more cable reviews than anyone I'm familiar with:
"So something I’ve discovered over the years is that the power cable used for your amplifier could 'override' the speaker cable sound. The amplifier is actually more important than some think.
For example, I compared having the ZenWave Audio PCR-14 power cord and Snake River Audio Cottonmouth Signature on my Emerald Physics 100.2SE. The Audio Art Cable Statement sounds very different depending on the power cord. With the Snake River Audio, the sound is much warmer and denser while with the ZenWave it was cooler but more transparent. The system mostly took the character of the power cord (I’ve compared it with a few)."
While many have observed that power cords are the most impactful on system SQ, Jay's statement sort of jumped out at me. Have you noticed the relationship between the amp PC and the SC as he describes it?

Re: Amp PC/SC Interplay?
I don't know how close you are to Charlotte, NC but I live just South of downtown (about 30 miles) in Rock Hill, SC. Instead of answering, how about you come down and hear it for yourself? I have both the the Snake River Cottonmouth and the Signature AMP series PC's. There is a vast difference between the two and they absolutely affect the sonic signature of my Musical Fidelity KW-750 w/the QSA Red and Black fuse on the main board of the power supply, as well as Brad's RAL umbilical's, instead of the Audio Art Cable Statement's. The change is as he describes and you don't need to strain to hear it. It's pretty obvious.
Just PM me if you are interested in hearing this for yourself. We'll go from there.

Re: Amp PC/SC Interplay?
Agreed. I would also add IC's to that list as well though. They also have the ability to make or break a system.

Re: Amp PC/SC Interplay?
With both power cords and speaker cables, including when changed simultaneously, I have on a couple occasions been impressed initially by a perceived reduction in noise (floor) and more euphonic upper midrange through treble, only to grow bored over time with the, to me, overly polite sound.
