Just curious if you are familiar with your home town company that makes an amazing pre-amplifier along with other items? Arek manufactures Hattor Audio in Warsaw! His base unit is a pure passive pre-amp with five inputs and four outputs that can be configured with any combinations of RCAs and XLRs, both inputs and outputs. It is pure and real dual mono in that it even has two volume controls and an external power supply. These can be controlled simultaneously from the really nice little metal remote. He offers four levels of performance steps in resistors, the AMRG Trans being the top.

Hattor also offers an optional Tube Active Stage which brings the entire three box pre-amp setup to true world class! Built in very nice aluminum casing and shipped in flight cases!

I have tried many pre-amps from Audio Research, McIntosh, Audio Mirror, Dennis Had, Bryston, etc., to the world renowned giant killer the Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE Stage 2. The Hattor is on another level from any of these.

Being that he is located in your home town you should contact him. Maybe he would arrange a demo for you? Anyway, just a thought since I notice you are from Warsaw.

I know, but we sent Hattor two e-mails and we didn't received any response, so ... If You're looking something very special look at Vinius passive preamp.

I am not... I absolutely love my Hattor... I can use it either passive or active. The tube stage brings it to an entirely different level.

I am surprised that you were not able to contact Arek. I know he does not do advertising and submitting equipment for reviews, but being that you are from the same home town :).

Comment like this is so misleading. As far as I can read on Audioshark, I don’t think you’ve ever had in possession of any current model of preamp from Audio Research, Bryston or McIntosh, let alone their top of the line.

First and foremost what in the hell does this have to do with anything I posted. I was simply asking if the OP had ever looked into or tested gear from a company based in his home town of Warsaw, Poland. I did not say nor imply that I had tested all of these companies top of the line models... duh... I would not compare a $3800 pre-amp package to any companies $30k product of course. The OP was discussing a pre-amp just slightly more expensive than the one I asked him about... certain not a top of the line model.

I simply was stating that the Hattor is better than every pre-amp I have actually tested. Also, for the record I have in fact had an Audio Research pre-amp and I grew up in Binghamton NY and I also managed a stereo store in Binghamton... so I think it is safe to say I have had more than a couple McIntosh pre-amps....

Therefore, once again, you are sticking your nose in and trying to create an issue where it does not exist.

To the OP, sorry the thread got waylaid. Obviously I was curious if you have had the opportunity to try out your home town brand which I personally feel is an absolutely fantastic product. Pretty simply, all of this other stuff is just plan bullshit.

Add a model name or number after the brand. Always trying to sound like an authority on certain brand, yet it can’t be further from the truth having only been exposed to old or discontinued models. BTW Job is not Goldmund.

Jesus Christ, who the hell shit on your Wheaties? What the hell does Job have to do with the price of tea in China... You really are a piece of work... for the record, both Job amps that I have owned did in fact say Goldmund right on the amplifier... but yes, you are the expert on everything... so you must be right... I got a better idea... go fuck yourself.

I wonder what the English to Polish translation software would do with that. :)

Yes, I’m an expert in spotting frauds. [emoji38]

It's a discussion... period... people talk about stuff... in this case the OP was talking about a pre-amp... I asked him if he ever tried a manufacture that is from his home town since he is an audio reviewer... I told him that the one I asked him about is the best that I have personally ever tried... I didn't claim to be an expert or that I had tried top end models from any other company (other than Wyred 4 Sound), and that I felt that the one out of Warsaw is a superb product... and then you come in sticking your holier than thou nose in and create an issue where there was never one... and you have the audacity to call others names... also throw in a completely other brand like you are insulting another user because of that brand (talk about left field, wow)... and the funny thing is I have never had one of that companies pre-amps nor ever claimed to... you seem to only post when you have a stick up your ass and try to insult other members without contributing to the conversation... I don't know if you forgot your meds or are just an ass, but either way maybe you want to actual contribute to conversations rather than create issues where they have not previously existed.

Glad you think so... I tire of your non-sense since your supposed point has no bearing what so ever on the discussion.

Just something that you pulled out of thin air I guess :dunno:... anyway, to make you feel important :flowers2:... bye now...

Nice looking new Bryston BR-20. (The BR refers to the recently deceased head of the company) This single box solution appeals to many. Streamer, DAC, active differential pre-amp, and headphone amp. Options include an HDMI board for video audio, and switching, and a phono section. I know the HDMI card has just become available again.

I’ve been investigating these type of units, including Lumin P1, and Boulder 812.
