Hi everyone,
I am planning to upgrade the preamplifier of my system to a Boulder 2110. Right now I have two options: obviously the first one is a new one. And my dealer told me that there is also a used one available. However, the age of the used 2110 is not certain, he estimated it at around 5 year old. As the current owner bought it 2nd hand as well. On the plus side, this 2110 appears is in great shape. Finally, this used 2110 is selling at 75% the price of the brand new 2110’s.
I know Boulder amplifiers are built like tanks and should last a very long time, however, a five year old selling at only 25% less seems pretty stiff to me. I am leaning toward buying the new one. Will you do the same?
Thanks!
Julian
