New from BAT
INTERNATIONAL CES, LAS VEGAS, Nevada, January 6, 2015 — Balanced Audio Technology (BAT), the
U.S. manufacturer of ultra-high-end vacuum tube and solid-state audio components, is celebrating its 20th
anniversary at CES with the introduction of four new products: the VK-23SE and VK-43SE solid-state stereo
preamplifiers and the VK-225 and VK-225SE solid-state stereo power amplifiers. BAT is exhibiting in Suite 29-
122 at The Venetian.
The VK-23SE preamplifier (SRP: $4,995), like all BAT preamps, features fully balanced circuit topology
throughout, which inherently eliminates noise and preserves signal purity. The VK-23SE utilizes BAT’s exclusive
Unistage™ single-gain-stage, zero-feedback design with no buffers or followers, transformer-coupled outputs for
each channel and the shortest possible signal path to achieve maximum resolution, transparency and musical
accuracy.
The VK-43SE (SRP: $8,995) is the company’s new top-of-the-line solid-state preamplifier. It is a dual-monaural
design with transformer-coupled outputs for each channel. Like the VK-23SE, it incorporates BAT’s Unistage
zero-feedback design with no buffers or followers and a minimal signal path. The VK-43SE’s massive power
supply employs BAT’s proprietary SUPER CAP custom paper-in-oil capacitors and delivers extremely wide
dynamic capability. Both models are supplied with a remote control and will be available in an elegant all black
or silver/black brushed-aluminum finishes.
The Balanced Audio Technology VK-225 amplifier (SRP: $4,995) uses the same symmetrical discrete bipolar
output transistor design as the company’s reference VK-6200 power amp to provide exceptional clarity, dynamic
authority and accurate, extended frequency response. It delivers 150 watts per channel power output into 8 ohms
(300 wpc into 4 ohms), and features audiophile-grade components throughout, the shortest-possible signal paths
with zero negative feedback and other refinements to deliver superlative sound in high-end music systems. The
VK-225SE amplifier (SRP: $6,495) adds BAT’s SUPER-PAK power supply circuit that provides greatly Balanced Audio Technology • 1300 First State Blvd. Suite A • Wilmington, DE 19804

increased energy storage capacity, to convey music with effortless dynamic authority, nuance and realism. Both
amps will be available in all black or silver/black brushed-aluminum finishes.
At CES 2015, BAT is also showcasing its flagship REX II vacuum-tube stereo preamplifier and power amplifier
and a host of its ultimate-performance audio components. My Systems: http://www.audioshark.org/showthread...481#post158481

Re: New from BAT
I have not had the chance to listen to recent BAT gear, but when Soundex was still in business in Willow Grove PA, I used to love the BAT-ProAc room.
