    1. Avantgarde Trio’s playing Pink Floyd
    2. MBL (the little white ones) playing a female jazz singer (forget her name)
    3. The new Verity Otello Speakers playing everything I listened to
    4. Zesto room playing Nat King Cole

    ...ok that’s four.

There were others....big VAC room, Magico A3’s with Constellation was insanely good.

The Wilson XLFs - "oh wow" moment because of how bad it sounded. They have to be better than what I heard.

    They’re not.

    Re: Axpona Show Report

my first oh wow moment was when I was told that they closed the lounge on 15 and 16 lol.
I really enjoyed the pen audio room. quite pleasing and the setup was awesome.
The new ARC ref 160m looked incredible and sounded great.
Tidal is consistently the room that delivers at EVERY show. And the ebony Macassar is drop dead gorgeous.
Kii delivers a lot of sound from a small package. Impressive. Class D and DSP can sound darn good if you give it a chance.
Verity was phenomenal at RMAF and the smaller ones here were truly excellent. Like really really good.
I have not liked YG in the past and I was quite impressed at this show.
A number of rooms had me singing public enemy, "don't believe the hype".
Best part is always the camaraderie and meeting fellow enthusiasts. See you at RMAF...

Edward nailed it for me. The camaraderie, connecting with and spending time with friends that share a common interest is what makes going to shows so rewarding.

    Re: Axpona Show Report

    Myles,

Thank you for a great report.

I saw your mention of DQ-10s. I had DQ-10s until they were stolen. Replaced them with Apogee Stage speakers then upgraded to Mini-Grands then Quad. Flat is good. To this day I find box speakers difficult to love.
