I sold the Uno XD’s we had in the store and decided to replace with the Duo XD’s with the new shiny gloss cabinet. It’s gorgeous.

So it is a conventional cone driver for the midrange and a compression driver for the tweeter? How heavy are the horn portions?

Fantastic Mike - as an ignoramus , I'd love to be educated - what do horns sound like with big amps like the Constellation and SS vs tube?

Good, but best (by a mile) with SET tubes. 300b SET is perfect. 45 SET is nice, but at 0.8 watts, it’s a little light. 300b at 8 watts is perfect. I’m just using SS to pound the sh!t out of them for 150 hours to break them in.

I listened to a pair of the UNOs in Haarlem Netherlands last week that were powered by the store owners own DIY tube amps. I only had a short amount of time to listen to them before my wife dragged me out of the store, but what I heard sounded great with a very spacious and balanced sound. I wish I had had more time to listen to them even though they are way more than I could afford. I am assuming these are even better sounding...

Like the gloss cabinet, improves WAF quite a bit IMHO.
