I still have my Mister Disc (also called a Sound Burger). It operates on batteries and can use headphones. I would take it along when visiting used record stores. I never tried to play it in my car.

You should ask your dealer to bring the CH stuff he wants to sell you for home audition in your system. IMO there is no way to tell what will sound better in your system.
