    My daily driver is pretty boring (Hyundai Tucson) but this is one of my two fun cars....

    Love those white wheels (with red brake calipers?)...tight look

  8. #8
    Love the white wheels, too!

    Here's mine:

    2012 Audi S4. Chipped, new suspension, and new rims.

    Yes, red calipers, but these wheels get dirty immediately. Going to get a 2nd set and have em painted dark grey. (i.e. brake dust color...)

    Love that S4. I've got a friend here with one, fantastic car!

    thx, Jeff.

    But before you change wheel colors, Armorall has some wheel protectant spray out there, sort of like a spray on wax that really minimizes brake dust buildup. I use it on my wheels and I can go about a week without too bad a buildup. The white wheels does look sharp on the car! Just a thought.

    Hi Deb, great to see you here! Welcome to AS!

    This is the exact color I would have gotten had I gone with an M3. Love that blue! Unfortunately, I needed/wanted AWD so went with the S4. They have the most boring colors.

    Alright, a fellow tracker! Isn't it an absolute blast?! It's how the M3 was meant to be driven! Any mods to your car?

    A blast is an understatement! Especially when my other vehicles are SO boring (Suburban to get kids and tow horses around). Pop it in M mode, and its a grin for one ear to the other!!

    Thank you for the warm welcome

    That blue is beautiful. Yet I do agree with you with the AWD. With as much as it snows here, I am not able to drive it much over the winter and spring. We have a Subaru with AWD for that purpose.

    Going on the track is amazing! Have a few connections there, so not only get to play on the track, but also get to watch a lot of races as well. The traction control saves me, admittingly, and makes me that much more gutsy on turns. They have a nice LONG straight that I have been able to get it over 140 easily (I could push it more into the corner, but don't want to risk it). We should have a track day sometime!

    PS - no mods. I have wanted to do a cat override and exhaust, though (easy little boost with not too much work).

    How fast you go (top speed) just for fun?

    EDIT: +140 Mph, got it! ...Not at that speed to get the kids though, or tow the horses?

    You know, with the M3 you don't need any mods to have fun at the track, that's one of the many great things about them!

    Completely agree! I love the M mode button. You can take it off for a more comfortable ride, and turn it on for tighter suspension, and quicker response. Stock, it does very well on the track!

    While in the topic of cars, here is a photo of my hubby's car (me driving it, of course!!) Completely restored '68 Camero. Sadly we will be selling it soon, but it is a beast to drive. 500 HP to the wheels, and could SMOKE my M3 in a drag race (I would kick his tail on the track! No power steering ). Will be really sad to see it go

    Yeah, I did ! My last car was a 2008 Z06 Corvette, I absolutely loved that car, but I sold it because I wasn't using it enough. I regret that decision and have my eye on the new Sting Ray.

    André - - - Keep it simple system
    Amp = Chord CPM-2600
    Source = Chord One
    Speakers = Acoustat 1+1s highly modified
    Life without Acoustat is possible BUT senseless.
