    Re: Let's see your ride

Finally got some proper wheels and tires to compliment the upgraded adjustable coilover suspension on this old girl...

Nothing drastic, just some 19 x 8.5's with a +40 offset at all four corners with some high performance all season 245/40's. This combo is 6 lbs lighter per corner than the stock 16 x 7's they replaced!

Fashion Grey, it’s PTS. Slightly darker than Chalk. It looks a little lighter in dimmed light.

    Just bought 2021 Audi R8 V10.

With the end of naturally aspirated supercar era looming on us, I decided to buy one with the intention to keep indefinitely. The car just creams when it revs to 9000rpm redline - sth you don't get with a turbo car (the 992 all sound like a vacum cleaners, the only Porsche models that still sound great are GT3 and GT4, which are also NA cars).

Imagine, in 20 years and electric cars dominating the streets, going at WOT through the long tunnel and frightening all the quiet running Teslas ! Tesla drivers will be shitting their pants, lol. Yeah, there is still a street hooligan deep inside of me

Yeah, GT3 will probably hold value better. Much more expensive though plus 15 months wait.

Most importantly you have manual transmission which is how BMW’s are meant to be driven!

    Let's see your ride

Nice! I’m quite the car guy myself too. The previous GT3 generations are not bad driving cars. The 992 GT3 is punishing, same with 718 GT4.

992 GT3 punishing? Not really. The 992 GT3 is the best driver of all the GT3 variants......

The GT3 992 is punishing. Way too stiff. Previous gen GT3’s are much more civil.

    Well I've owned a 996, 997 and 991 GT3 so I know them well. And I've spent some time driving a 992 GT3.

What is your experience with all the GT3's ?

The 992 is the best driver of the bunch.....not punishing at all....

991 and 992. 991 was sporty, 992 was punishing. Far firmer ride.

Not just me, just watch the reviewers compare and contrast. Harry’s Garage is a good one. Doug D too. Many others. They all comment how the ride on the 992 is so much firmer than 991 or previous gen’s.

    +1

992 GT3 is much harsher than 991 GT3 - IMO it is close to 991.2 GT3 RS and 991.2 GT2 RS in the (lack of) comfort.

But it all depends on the personal preferences. I have a friend who drives F40 and his Senna around town and says both cars are very driveable around town, while his wife hates them both (both way too harsh).

I tend to agree with his wife on how punishing those cars are, but I simply love them both. Nothing better than straight piped F40 or straight piped Senna at WOT.
