    Ford Mustang GT500

This is an interesting update. Never been a fan of big wings on road cars but the overall design looks well executed. And, with 700 hp, it should be a blast to drive.

    Ford Mustang GT500

I really dig the look, overall. They managed to make an even more aggressive Mustang over the 350.

Shame it’s only available in an automatic.

Very nice exterior although wing looks out of place here

Interior, not so nice. Maybe better in person

It might be an auto but its rapid fast like the Porsche double-clutch transmission, the PDK. I drove a 2018 911 Carrera S with a PDK, I can shift pretty good, but not as fast and accurate each time as a PDK. IF Ford has got it right, manual is not relevant.

And from what I read the there are going to be different wing options.

No doubt it’s faster and if it’s anything like a PDK, it will be a real winner. That transmission reads your mind, is never “hunting”, and shifts so dang quickly.

But all cars are so fast nowadays it’s moot, for me, to be that much quicker, as this is more for enjoyment of the driving experience. I would prefer a choice between the two for consumers.

    Re: Ford Mustang GT500

Pony car wars have really heated up. Whereas Ford and Chevy have squarely taken aim at road courses Dodge is rockin' a 1/4 mile at a time !

I wonder if the auto in the 'Stang is the one co-developed between GM & Ford ?
    Cheers ! …. Dave

I was wondering if it was going to be the GM-Ford transmission, too. That was a 10-speed, if I recall correctly? It appears the one in the new GT500 is a 7-speed Tremec.
