A bit of back story, I am blind so rely on an Apple feature called Voice Over in order to use the iPad & iPhone. VO reads to me what's on the screen as I run my finger over it. You gamers should close your eyes and try that one, LOL
When I purchased the ACS10 Conductor 3 was in use and fully accessible using VO. I don't know if everyone got the pop up or if somehow it detected those who use VO but when Conductor 4 was released the pop up warned not to upgrade if you are a Voice Over user because C4 doesn't work with VO. You all know how long it has already been since C4 was released. I'm still using C3 and Aurender ceased support for C3 as soon as C4 rolled out. I am in panic mode every time a firmware update comes for my iPad wondering if this may be the one that might stop my Conductor ap from working.
I sent an email to Aurender Support and a post on the FB page. I had given up getting a response from either, however, I finally did receive an email with apologies for delay etc. What else was in the email really concerns me;
"Although I cannot guarantee the implementation or provide an exact timeline, VoiceOver is on our feature wishlist. With V4's connectivity issues mostly resolved, we now have more resources to focus on valuable suggestions like yours."
Really? You can't promise accessibility? This isn't a request, a feature, it's a necessity and I need to check, I believe it's the law. Whether he understood what Accessibility was is concerning either way. How can you provide something you don't even know what it is? Without Voice Over the ACS10 or any Aurender product is useless to me.
I don't know if Auri is still with the company, I haven't seen him reply on the FB page in a long time, he understood what VO did. Now it's a matter of time to see if anyone at Aurender remains who knows and has any concern about accessibility that can get C4 accessible before C3 breaks. They either need to fix C4 or continue support for C3. I have no issue using C3 I just don't want it to break. If C3 breaks and no use of C4 I just have a ACS10 with no way to operate it.
