Aurender (ACS10) vs. Innuos software for classical music

Interested in comments from any who have compared the merits of Aurender’s current Conductor app with Innuos’ 2.0 Sense app software for classical music. Ripping, describing/tagging the contents of a classical album, ease of use, etc. Were differences decisive in your choice of one brand over the other? If you are an Innuos user, do you use Sense in preference to Roon? (Please no wandering off into Roon here.)

Re: Aurender (ACS10) vs. Innuos software for classical music

I see no comments yet, so here is my Conductor impressions. I have not seen Innuos.

Ripping is easy, just put disc into drawer, close, and it's off. Aurender does pretty good and finding and tagging the Classical music, better than the Rock I have for the most part. They have a separate ap,, ACS Manager, for manual tagging. I can't see and no one to show me how this works, so I am lost with it. It's not intuitive at all in my opinion. There's titles I'd love to fix but can't, for example, it may put a CD as part of a box set and the tracks may be numbered 3-1, 3-2, etc. And I have some albums that just say "unknown" for some reason, I'd like to name them. This is minor but I wish the ap was fully usefil for me.

How I read is Voice Over on my iPad. I'd hope having a visual helps with interpreting what to do. I've never seen anyone really complain about it. Then again, you asked and it's crickets.

I got to speak with the programmer for Aurender at AXPONA, I asked if they could make a pop-up or have Voice Over say something when an update is happening. He says there's a spinning wheel. I explain I couldn't see the spinning wheel and have no way of knowing if I'm receiving an update or have a problem. If it's a problem you might reboot the network, that wouldn't do very good for an incoming update. I didn't get the impression I reached him or anything would change. You might think updates wouldn't be an issue but for some reason mine want to happen around the time I want to listen in the evening. I'm not sure if it's a different time in Korea or opening the ap promts it.

I'm sorry for venting a bit, one thing you might do is look online, there are some tutorials with visuals that would give you an idea of what the ap looks like.
I love my Aurender but being fully able to use the ap is a sore spot for me.

Can’t speaker for Classical Music in particular, but the Innuos app is better than the Aurender app in terms of layout, appearance, etc. That being said, they are both stable, functional and sound great.

Re: Aurender (ACS10) vs. Innuos software for classical music

One thing I forgot to mention, a friend was over one time with his laptop and was able to access my ACS10 on my network, this looked to be a easier way to edit.

Again, I've never seen Innuos so I can't say if they are any better or worse.
