They are basic "My Theatre" panels. I ordered them from Audio Advisor years ago. I had a terrible slap echo and put them on the front and back walls.

Improving Room Acoustics is As Easy As Hanging a Picture
Save on Whole Room Treatment Package
Our listening room at Audio Advisor had terrible acoustics. We tried installing Sonex panels, but they only offered a mild improvement. Then we tried these Acoustic Panels, and the room sounds great -- so good, in fact, that even the non-audiophiles on our staff hear a huge difference. And the panels get a high spousal approval rating for their pleasing appearance, too.
Decorative Sound Absorptive Panels
Audiophile Acoustic Panels make it easy to tame room reflections. Just install the decorative sound absorptive panels on your walls to reduce unwanted reflections for a tight, coherent movie soundtrack and realistic multi-channel music. The panels hang on the wall like pictures. You can also add a dot of Blu-Tack reusable bonding compound on the corners to keep the panels from moving or vibrating.
Money-saving Panel Package
To make it easy figuring out how many panels you need -- and to save you money, too -- we've created Audiophile Acoustic Panels packages for different treatments levels in a typical room. For optimum sound quality, this package allows you to layer the panels.
Our "Audiophile's Package" for uncompromising music and movie soundtrack reproduction has twelve 24" by 40" Audiophile Acoustic Panels plus eight 24" by 24" panels to lay over them.

joe nice view. isolation might be a real bonus next. my new rack is very well isolated to the point it made an instant improvement in my room. It was like upgrading everything & getting more of the detail space/blackness etc. Stillpoints eloops are an absolute bargain & they work. Wouldn't have a pre/amp source with-out them. Was surprised you went with the SF's

Re: A system in flux ... see it now before it changes tomorrow ...
I heard the EAR gear and it bettered the Accuphase, Levinson, etc. It is really good. The CD player and Preamp vs the Accuphase CD player and Preamp gave the win to the EAR gear. If you want sound that's as good - maybe better than the big boys - EAR is it! I just listen. Joe adds it to his stable.
Put this in perspective. Joe has more Stereophile Class A gear than most dealers! Revel, TAD, D'Agostino, Sonus Faber, etc.My Systems: http://www.audioshark.org/showthread...481#post158481

Re: A system in flux ... see it now before it changes tomorrow ...
Thanks Doug
I really think the studio2 will work great in my room. I can always move them downstairs when ready but my gut tells me it will be a smooth and ballsy speaker. My only concern will be very low or late night listening. The TADs are superstars in that respect, bar none. Ultimately I don't see myself getting rid of the TADs for that reason alone unless the Raidho D1s or possibly D2s can overtake the TADs in that department. Time will tell.
He who dies with the most toys, wins. Maybe a few more great pieces and I'm done. I can mix and match to my hearts content.Fleetwood Deville by Oswald Mills Audio, Vienna Acoustics Haydn Jubilee, Wharfedale Linton w/ stands, Klipsch RB-75, Klipsch RP-160M.
