Joe,
Room is only about 12 by 13 ft. Small. The amazing thing is that while the Evos sound best, so far, in the first place I put them, I can't find a spot where they don't sound good. I read that they could be tough to place, but they have shocked me with how they work in my room. The room loves the Evos.
I know I have some work to do as the ARC breaks in, fine tuning setup, but at this point, I am just enjoying them and not obsessing.

Mike, It's the Basis 2001 Signature with the Vector 4 tonearm. To me, the Basis gear is special. I am amazed at the craftsmanship, ....engineering. Not just the design, but the implementation. You can just tell, when you see it and touch it. Originally Posted by Mike

Bruce...very nice equipment and I totally agree with you on the Basis tts. I was impressed when I got my 2001. Engineering tolerances are impressive. AJ Conti knows his stuff. If I win the lottery some day, the Inspiration will find its way into my system but until then, the 2001 will have to do

Bruce...if you pull out the Ref 150 from the rack, and you have a flashlight, you should be able to see the hour counter through the slits in the top plate (at least that is the case with my Ref 110...maybe Nelson can confirm this). Alternatively, if you bought the Ref 5SE and Ref 150 together and you turn them both on and off at the same time (which is a pretty good assumption
), you can just look up at the hour counter on the Ref 5SE from your remote. Enjoy.

Thanks for the tips. I had the 5SE in my system for a week or so before the 150, hooked up to my Mac 452. The info is helpful though, because once I find out the difference, I can always go by the Preamp number.

You should ask your dealer to bring the CH stuff he wants to sell you for home audition in your system. IMO there is no way to tell what will sound better in your system.
