Custom McIntosh MC2301 Amp Stands by Sound Anchors
Today, I received my custom MC2301 Amp Stands. They are rock solid!
Each of the two stands weigh in approximately 155 pounds and hold two MC2301s each. From what I understand, the frame is filled with some sand like substance to eliminate vibration and all that funky stuff, and makes them a bit heavier.
Next, a new audio rack for my C1000 and other gear.

Re: Custom McIntosh MC2301 Amp Stands by Sound Anchors
David.......Looking forward to seeing photos of the Sound Anchor amplifier stands loaded with four MC2301's. That will be a sight to behold for this McIntosh fan. The stands look fabulous. Sound Anchor manufactures solid stands. I have one under my JL Audio Fathom f113 subwoofer in the living room system. Don't stub a toe on one of those bad boys. The toe will lose. Ask me how I know.

Re: Custom McIntosh MC2301 Amp Stands by Sound Anchors
Wow, those are killer! And 155 lbs each?! Holy Moley!
I'd like one day having some stands made for my JBL 4430 Speakers.
Kenrick in Japan once made some nice ones, but the current ones they showed me a couple weeks ago looked like some makeshift universal "one fits all" stands, and sorry, but no cigar, and no monies plucked down, they were not what I wanted, and they seemed to try passing off something else as a suitable stand for the 4430 Monitor.
I'm sure Sound Anchors could make me a pair, that the top of the Stands would fit inside-within the factory bottom wooden Skirts, and if I could get these speakers about 12"-14" further off the Floor, I do believe they'd sound a lot better.Main System: Bryston 7BSST2 Monoblock Amps (2) McIntosh MX-130 AV Pre/Tuner, Sutherland PHD Phono Stage, Modified VPI HW-19 MK-IV with custom mounted AQ PT-9 Tonearm, VPI SAMA, and VPI SDS, ZYX Airy 3X SB Cartridge, CAL Audio Delta/Sigma II DAC, CAL Audio modded Delta/Alpha DAC, TEAC 3340S & A2340R R2R Decks, JBL 4430 Studio Monitors, Cabling AQ, Wireworld, Straightwire ICs, homebrew 10 White Blue Jeans Speaker Cable.

Re: Custom McIntosh MC2301 Amp Stands by Sound Anchors
I decided to drop Sound Anchors a short letter in query to what they may have possibly done in the past in regards to stands for my JBL 4430 Monitors?
They probably have, and might have CAD info on hand for various designs and costs?
Thus maybe "Easy Peasy", I see, I like, I buy!
Then only need one strong "careful" buddy to help me hoist these pristine 127 lb babies on top!Main System: Bryston 7BSST2 Monoblock Amps (2) McIntosh MX-130 AV Pre/Tuner, Sutherland PHD Phono Stage, Modified VPI HW-19 MK-IV with custom mounted AQ PT-9 Tonearm, VPI SAMA, and VPI SDS, ZYX Airy 3X SB Cartridge, CAL Audio Delta/Sigma II DAC, CAL Audio modded Delta/Alpha DAC, TEAC 3340S & A2340R R2R Decks, JBL 4430 Studio Monitors, Cabling AQ, Wireworld, Straightwire ICs, homebrew 10 White Blue Jeans Speaker Cable.
