Amp stand
was looking to recommend a Amp stand for my neighbor. and his room is upstairs and Tube amp sits on a suspended wood floor.
he's tried a maple wood platform. but made amp sound warmer and bass a little boomy. (heard wood has that warmer sonic signature?) and he tried some other tweaks (stillpoints and etc..) did not like results.
budget (sub-$1K) is for a mid-price stand nothing like HRS/CMS and was looking for some feedback
made a small list and if anyone can chime in or recommend something. (something that's neutral and adds nothing)
Adona Multi -element platform
Symposium Ultra platform
SRA VR

Re: Amp stand
Has he tried bamboo butchers blocks (Ikea ) on top of the maple shelves? cheap, could be worth while trying. There are plenty of articles on that tweak.
