What a blast. It's really easy to configure on the Devialet website. I am using the Devialet as a preamp and DAC into my ART monos and it sounds great. It has been a while since these amps were in rotation. I've really missed them.

I'm using the Harbeth 40.1's right now.

Tom,

I am not sure but I think it adds some clarity and separation. I think the quietness of the D400 really makes the most of my ART monos. I kept playing one more song, just one more song until the next thing I knew it was well past 5am, damn. What's great too is that I have access to the tone controls and other preamp functions. My 40's can be a little bass heavy, so I dialed the bass back just a little. I could go crazy with the Devialet and actually pick the frequency range if I wanted. Wow! Amazing. I am not trying to infer the GAT is noisy, it's not, but you and I both know the D400 is DEAD quiet. The sound somehow seems a little clearer/cleaner.

Bet that D400 would be magic on a pair of Westies. :snicker:

Not this combo but the GAT/ART on the Strads is amazing too. Color me spoiled.
