Isnt that what HiFi is all about? I remembered reading cables selling at that kind of price or there about. Seems like the prices are driving me - poor guy - towards more affordable VINTAGE gears - rebuilt! :exciting:

Should we adapt a more serious "tone" now?

The list price is 48,000 in Canada as well. Built in the UK never seen it or heard it. has anyone heard it play and on what table with which cartridge.

Gary Koh had the arm mounted on an Air Force One at a recent CES. Hard to say much about the sound.

I think the table and arm are on display at the SF show this weekend.

Touraj is also working on a less expensive version of his arm.

Yes the arm is expensive, but the Vertere arm is basically made in small batches in a F1 racing machine shop that adds considerably to the cost. I think when one looks at Vertere or the Axiom arm, there's no escaping seeing the thought that went into the design of the arm and getting the *most* out of *every* cartridge one might mount in it.

I have talked via email with Gary and others no doubt it is a great arm how much of a change from my tri planner I have no idea. I am sure it would be better and as the say they do not call it a TONE arm for no reason . A luxury buy for sure their is no way to say I need it, but I want it works. Something new for the cat to play with thou both cats have always left the table alone so far .

By the way myles the Lyra Atlas is breaking in nicely big change from the Ortofon spu royal N and the Shelter before it.
