If you are running out of room i know of a good off site demo room for the M2’s free of charge!
I do like those B&Ws though. Before I went to Magicos i strongly considered them after hearing them properly set up over at ListenUp in Denver years ago. They punched above their paygrade for sure.

How do you get those pallets through that small door?
Do you have wide doors in the back or do you have to take them out of the crate (and hope it does not rain while doing so!)?

We take them off the pallets, load them onto the hand truck and move them through the door one at a time. We have large tarps if the rain does come. So far, we havenít had to use them. [emoji1696]

803D3 looks gorgeous in white gloss finish. What amplifier are you using with them?

Great. Can you describe how's that combo. sound? Glad to see someone using other than Mcintosh with B&W.

The combo is fabulous. Luxman Japan uses 800D3ís to voice their products. The amps have no trouble driving the speakers at all. The sound is engaging, liquid and smooth on top (provided you set the speakers up correctly). I find myself closing my eyes and really getting lost in the music.

Luxman makes great products. It seems B&W is very popular in Asia too. Lots of videos on Youtube.

803s are the best value of their 800 series line. They look nice Mike!

Mike,

Your set-up looks way better than those I see at the B&W facility.

I think that maybe you could teach them a thing or three...

I really like the original Nautilus design, unfortunately very old tech.

B&W and Rotel are related.

And who says there is anything wrong with Rotel? Besides, these amps are prototypes and no one on this forum besides you have heard them so people shouldn't be judging what they haven't heard.

These look really impressive. They have my mouth watering at this point. How big of a difference is there between the 803 D3 and the 804 D3?

I am thinking the size of the 803 D3 might make it difficult in my Library Loft... 144 pounds... holy gyumba.... getting them up the steps would be nuts :), not to mention the $8000 price difference.

I know the movement system and spikes is very cool... the Turbine Head for mid-range... is that a night and day difference or not really?

The 803D3 gets all the same technologies as the big boys. The 804 doesnít. Thereís a BIG sound difference. The 803D3ís are young Mikeís favorite speakers for the money in the store. Heís getting a pair.

Well this sounds like the one in the B&W line. Let's see how it all pans out!

One other thought/question. Are any of the B&W still made in Europe (I think they used to be made in England, please correct me if I am wrong) or are all the current model built in their factory in China?

For example, KEF continues to manufacture the Reference series and the Blades in their UK plant and the other models in their plant in China.

Mike

Yes, all 800 series are.

Yes, I had to take the gently used but broken-in floor models (discounted by $2500)--the dealer said B&W wasn't taking new orders for the D3 series, so I figured something was up.
