Pictures of the Job 225 for fuse replacement ....

Here are some photos of the Job 225 and the fuse block. You can slide out the fuse holder without taking the cover off but I found it easier to push the post from the back on the inside. The drawer will pop open containing the fuses. The one shown in the photo is the one to replace. There is a spare in the front part of the drawer.

Thanks Joe! I think I'm on day 6 of my indecisiveness regarding which fuse to get. I know how you feel about the liquid nano supreme. I'm been exchanging emails with someone who said he didn't care for the Audio Magic. I'm torn between it and the Synergistics. AAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Luka,

I ordered one of these to try. This will be interesting. What are people telling you about the differences between these and the Audio Magic fuses?

Re: Pictures of the Job 225 for fuse replacement ....

From a friend advising me about fuses:

"What I have discovered is that the HiFI Tuning Supreme fuses are a bit more forward and lively than stock fuses, have a bit more extension on top, and more detail. If your system is in the neutral area, it may make things a bit edgy. If your system is warmer/richer, you may like them a lot. They are certainly directional, so you will have to experiment with them both ways. One way will sound better, the other will not. I also liked the Quantum fuses by Synergistic Research. They are also directional, even though it does not state so on the box. I found them to be a bit more ful l-bodied in the midrange, adding a pleasant "lushness" if your system is a bit edgy. They do roll the upper end of just a tad, but not too much. I seem to get a bit more depth and layering with these fuses. They are not as "punchy" or lively as the Supremes, but are just as lively as stock fuses. The third ones I tried were the 1st generation of those Liquid nano fuses about a year ago. I found them very rolled off in the highs, and did not like them. I see they now have a newer and more expensive version, which they claim as being better, which I have not tried. "

    Also:

"I tried the AMR fuses about two years ago, and did not like them at all. If you think you have room in the tone department to go a bit more lively, the HiFi Tuning Supreme would be one I would try. It should give you a good improvement in energy, detail and extension on the top, and things will become more open sounding. I am guessing the Liquid Nano and Synergistic will be richer and more full-bodied. I hear the same differences between these fuses with whatever component I am using.
If you buy one warmer fuse and one lively fuse, and put them in different components, your tone may balance out. Be sure to change them one at a time, and listen to be sure they are each in the correct direction. Concentrate on the "dynamic energy" when checking directionality, and pay attention to the upper extension in the high frequency range where cymbals are. If it sounds less extended up there, and the music does not "jump out" at you in an unrestricted way, the fuse is probably backwards. I also get a bit of a midrange "nasal" tonal coloration with the Synergistic fuse when it is not correctly oriented. It make take a few tries to pick up on the differences, so be patient, and have fun!"

Please let us know Wisnon. For me, it's either that, or the liquid nano supreme Joe raves about. I hear great things about both, but as long as they're in the correct system. (I guess that's with any component!).

    Feedback:
Off the top of my head, much greater transparency, clarity and tone. Sound gets even fuller especially if you have it installed the right way. (See picture)

Burn in is a pain. It can be up and down for about 200 hours.

Re: Pictures of the Job 225 for fuse replacement ....

I have been very disapointed in the way "The cable Company" has handled my first order to them for a couple of fuses. Anyone else find them very unresponsive to emails?

Ordered 2 fuses on the 1st Nov 2013 and recieved a couple of emails advising that my order and reply "We will do our utmost to rush the completion of your order."
Another email and reply "You should receive your package in 2-3 weeks."
I see they charged my visa for the total including shipping. So must be on its way.

Waited almost month and saw nothing coming in the mail, so sent another email asking if they may check on my order to Australia.
    Here is the reply
Sorry for the inconvenience, one of the fuses has not yet arrived from Audio Magic. My buyer has been in contact with them, and expects to have an answer for you soon.
This is a holiday week in America, and many businesses are closed, please be so kind as to be patient.
    Regards,
    Joe Santa Maria

Was I just unlucky my first time dealing with this company or is this the norm for them.

I actually ordered 2 fuses. Was going to use the other in a different amp. One of the above as well, that you mentioned and one "The super Fuse"
Would have been nice if they shipped out the SR fuse on its own and then the other.
At least inform me that there was going to be a delay, I could have brought it somewhere else.
I also thought a company would only charge your credit card once they are about to ship the goods not a month before and still no date when they will have stock.

Looks to be on its way to me now. Just was a delay in the cable co getting them back in stock which is understandable but an email would of been nice to inform me of the delay. Instead around the supposed delivery date I found myself always eager to check the mail box each day, expecting to find the fuses in there.
