    D’Agostino vs Gryphon

Has anyone compared the Progression int against the Diablo 300?
    Speakers are Magnepan 3.7’s
    What are your thoughts? 🤔

While I do not have personal experience with either one of the Diablo amps, I have been told that the 120 is not anywhere close to the performance
    of the 300.
Perhaps others with knowledge could chime in and also give some insight to the original posters question.

    D’Agostino vs Gryphon

For Maggie 3.7’s, skip the integrated. I’ve owned the 3.7’s. They gobble up power. A Pass X350.8 would be ideal. A Bryston 14b3 amp is another option.

    Thanks Mike,
😳 so the Diablo 300 with 600 watts is not powerful enough?!
What about the Pass X260.8 monos, enough juice? (”only” 520 watts)

No and yes. The 260.8’s should be fine, but a 350.8 would be ideal.

Why not move up to the 20.7's with Pass or Bryston? You could give away the 3.7's and still save money?

back in the day I drove my 3.6's with a Threshold S500, couldn't have been happier. I agree with Mike on the PASS recommendation. Another thought would be the big Parasound JC1's

    +1

I owned the Magnepan 3.7’s and the 20.7’s are on a different planet. Pass Labs has amazing synergy with Magnepan and delivers more than enough current to make them shine.

I am fully aware that Pass is a great match with Maggies but the XP22/X350.8 combo would be more than twice the price of the Diablo 300.

Here in the US, that wouldn’t be the case, but seeing that you are Europe, you may want to consider some fabulous European brand. For example, the Hegel H30 (or wait, as something new is coming to replace it) might be an option.

Thanks, Hegel is not nearly as highly regarded here in Sweden as Gryphon or Pass.
    I think I’ll pass on Hegel 😊

European pricing does put an entirely different outlook on the price/performance model.

Hegel doesn't hold the same status here either, but the H30 is a powerful amp and more neutral than either Gryphon, Pass, or the progression amp. Coarse I have no clue if that's true or not since I only parrot what I read from forums and reviewers.

The Boulder 866 integrated is another powerful integrated option where the BAT VK-655SE+ power amp is a great alternative if going separate partnered with a suitable pre amp.

    Both available locally (Sweden)

this just proves you are totally clueless. Bling for sure, but sounds nothing like Krell imo - except for maybe superb bass control.

I would guess he is referring to the Coda #16.

My friend has the 15 Class A with the output devices upgraded to the same as 16.

It seems the fanboy calls the kettle black, the 16 is a decent amp but not on par with D'agostino or top level Pass which neither you must not have heard
