Incredible. I'm wondering how many more of these exceptional collections will surface in the next decade.

Fine record archiving in Australia has been rare to date. Exceptional collections just don't go public.

I'm not into soundtrack LPs so I didn't get excited about this find. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the 3000 LP mainly opera collection my father gave me. I know it cost me $1000 to have record cabinets built to store the collection and I could care less about opera music. If there is anyone out there who is interested in opera music and LPs, please contact me.

I feel your pain. I have run out of room. I have all these records of pop music I think from the 50's that I inherited. I can't get myself to part with them as I feel they are part of the family history. Imagine records on how to learn Portuguese.

I'd rather just listen to bossa nova.

I'm sure the Record Parlour isn't going to display the choice LPs in store, they'll be offered to the highest bidder online. these kinds of finds seem more common now than 30-yrs ago, more collections will see the light as their owners die off. Personally I love OSTs and its the often referred to the classical music of our times, I've collected several hundred over the years.
