When Michael Fremer reviewed the NAIM SuperLine, he concluded that “it's among a handful of the best phono preamps I've ever heard.”

I kind of read that and took it with a grain of salt.

Now that I’ve been living with this $4599 MSRP box and the supporting power supply, the SuperCAP-DR ($7490), I can honestly say, I wholeheartedly AGREE!

I’m going to venture to say, it is the BEST phonostage I’ve ever owned - and not by a small margin. It’s dead nuts quiet. Fast, sweet, dynamic and very musical.

The only downside is that you need a NAIM system to enjoy it’s benefits. [emoji15]

Mike after how many years you have been a dealer and you still get excited about hifi gear is amazing. I would think living it every day some of the excitement would wear off. I am assuming this review is referring to your home system?

Nope, not at all. I get warn out by some of the industry nonsense, but I always love the music and the gear.

Martin Colloms also raved about it in his review for HiFi Critic a few years ago. That review is probably on Naim's website.

Mike, if you're intimating the DIN output is an obstacle, there are compatible Naim DIN>RCA and DIN>XLR ICs available.

Before Dave past, I got all of mine from Flashback Sales in the UK. AV Options in the US can also provide a cable using your IC's or their own.

That’s true, but I always wonder if you lose a little something in the conversion. DIN to RCA works fine I think, DIN to XLR has had mixed results in my system (with humming) and I had to buy a device to decouple the ground. Worked fine.

Mike, even better than the Vitus masterclass phono you owned?
