now in the system: air tight atm-300r SET amp
new SET power amp in the rig: air tight atm-300r
have about 20 hours on it so far... and, i will forgo all the audiophile adjectives and get straight to the bottom line: this thing is so good it will make you slap your granny (as the saying goes)!

truth be told, they sound quite similar. it is just that the air tight SQ is on a higher level -- every aspect of that SET goodness is operating in overdrive. the sound is quite rich and textured. it is also "authoritative" throughout the frequency range. the bass is the best i have heard in any tube amp.
