Electric Light Orchestra - Secret Messages - giving my original UK pressing a spin. The newly released 2 LP as originally conceived double album Jeff Lynne had written before being quashed by the record company to pair it down to single album. is it sitting at work waiting to be picked up.

David Sylvian ‎– Gone To Earth. the classic 1986 double album from David - just sublime.
Original UK pressing is barely thicker than a flexi disc and must weight all of 60 gms and is flat as the horizon. It sounds stunning. Just proves 180gm is a crock of shite.

It appears someone has been listening to Bonham play drums, Page strum the guitar and Plant sing. Nevertheless, quite good. Already their second album.

Thom Yorke ‎– Suspiria. new 2lp soundtrack from the movie. nicely dark, spooky, sparse and atmospheric. the Optimal Euro pink pressing is pretty good as well.

I really like ZAZ’ singing on this album. She’s back to her cute style from the first album. This album is also otherwise nice, but I’m not entirely sure about the mixing. On some songs I have the feeling they lack bass a bit, on others there definitely is too much of it.

Spinning my 33RPM copy of Empyrean Isles (Music Matters Jazz) this morning. I just can't get over how clear this album is.

MMJ really did this title justice. The drums, especially, sound so crisp and clear... hyper-realistic. If this album lacks anything, it's clarity in the piano... unfortunately it suffers from the van-gelderitus in the piano. Just seems a bit far back in the mix and lacking in the high frequencies. Everything else sounds great, though, and the piano is not a deal-breaker.

Definitely the best I've ever heard this album.
