To me the eml mesh as above all the Krons I have in clarity , it's even has more client then my Msb does I kid you not. And it's not that it's mid forward or something that makes it seem that way. It just is all around. The bass details are even better than the px25 are and I love those tubes.
The 50 blows away the 45 in amps. Would love to hear it in a Lampi (if it's possible).

SO far after break in it really shines for me. It yields clarity that's a stand out
it started off hard when new and it effected piano and some horns
now after more than 15 hours is a must have in my setup
clarity and bass details are above even my Msb dac. I was using my kr5u4g but swapped out for the tak it did improve even more. Just wondering has anyone else tried this tube
at first glance a year or so back it seemed hard and I dismissed it quickly
even with a good friends setup we both felt the same. What I did. It know is how much some tubes need to break in. I always did a 1 hour on then one off and then two on one off up to 3 hours. This always in the past proved to not hurt the tubes and gave me the end sound of each tube. I never did this with these tubes as when I first tried them I really did not like them first off and my friend confirmed my views.
Anyway has anyone tried them. ????
My guess is that MESH requires more break-in (burn off) than Solid Plate.

In the Game of Triodes, if you want to declare a new King of the Iron Throne, you have to see off all the Pretenders, like Elrog and WE vintage 300b, KR242 and PX25, Lampi EML 45 Mesh Globe. Justin also likes the VT52 globe and I did like the vintage WE 101d till they died...

Out of spec for Lampi, as its 9.4w (7.5v*1.25amps) and Lampi circuit tops out at 6.5w.

    From Lukasz re: Type 50

"we are very liberal with tube selection but this one is an extreme “wrong” type. We cant adjust to it in any humanly possible way."

The Ayon 32b and 62b will also do very well, like 300b on steroids, if the dac is adjusted for those tubes

Re: Tube Rolling for Lampizator Level 7

I am not a fan of the 50. The 50 was made for a very short time (Alan Douglas who knew more about tubes than any human on the planet) had an article on them in Sound Practices. I think his comment was that their scarcity made them what they are. In sum, the 50 came out and took the place of the 10 because it could be run at much greater power with the same plate voltages. Then the 45 came out and the 50 disappeared because the 45 in a push pull configuration gave you more power than a 50, but with lower voltage. Anyway, I have a few 50s (only vintage). I cannot say I like them. Dave Slagle and a team is now going to make a mesh plate 50 tube to the original specs. THat's a noble idea, but a 300B should do about the same. I would love the lampi to run 10 tubes though. That thoriated sound is just stellar... I use 10Ys to drive the 300Bs/275As/6A3s in my amp.
