    Hooking up 2 subs question

I am about to buy a second subwoofer so I can run dual subs. I have a question about hooking it up to my BAT preamp.

My preamp does not have a dedicated sub out. Currently I have the one sub connected to a L and R preamp out from the preamp to the L and R RCA inputs of the sub.

When adding a second sub, do I split up the L and R RCA preamp outs, with the L out going to the left sub and the R going to the R sub?

    Thanks for the help!

Re: Hooking up 2 subs question

Assuming that the subs are on left/right sides yes, I would use the right and left preamp outs.

Re: Hooking up 2 subs question

Thanks, the subs will be split up on the left and right sides of the speakers. I was not sure if I needed to split up the signal to give a stereo effect or if I needed to run them in mono with both channels being sum-mated.

Re: Hooking up 2 subs question

As long as your subs are positioned symmetrically with your mains you are fine feeding each sub its respective channel's input.
