Which type of Power Cord for Lampizator DAC
For the DHT Lampizator (lite 7, BIG7, GG) which type of Shunyata cable do you guys recommend? Digital, HC, etc. I think I read somewhere that you guys (Shunyata) had one of the DHT Lampizators in house. Would love to hear your recommended PC as well as any differences between the different lines.
thanks!

Re: Which type of Power Cord for Lampizator DAC
Could you please explain the logic of your recommendation? My understanding is that Digital power cords are mostly for computer based components with switching power supplies. Lampizator DACs have linear tube based power supplies that should not in theory contaminate the power chain very much. So, the additional filtering of Alfa or Sigma Digital cables may have an adverse effect on the sound. I would imagine, an Analog cable would be a better choice.
Thanks,
Aziz

Re: Which type of Power Cord for Lampizator DAC
I know Shunyata has or had a Lampizator in house. Was hoping they could answer as well. I had same thought as abeidrov that the lampizator could resemble either a digital or analog device.

Re: Which type of Power Cord for Lampizator DAC
The guys at Shunyata suggest the Sigma Digital is best for use with the Lampizator DACs. Of course everyone may have their preference and I"m betting some cables for analogue use sound great with it still... Sigma Digital is the optimal choice in my experience (I bought one)

Re: Which type of Power Cord for Lampizator DAC
I use Tara Cobalt. We compared Tara Cobalt, Siltech's top end double ruby crown or whatever, and Sablon's reserva special. Preferred the Tara and the Sablon.
In another system the Verictum demurg beat the Tara easily due to more and better extension on the top end, but it's too expensive compared to the used price for Tara. Tara adds bass and weight but is a bit darker, so that system which was quite airy and natural, did not suit it. I also have the Kimber K10. Tara and Kimber are still the best used market deals IMO. Have no experience with the Shunyata.
