    Wax Stacks

I've been looking for cool looking storage device for all my albums. Preferably something that is stackable and collapsable. I came across Wax Stacks | Portable, Stackable, Record Crates

It seems that they also have a Kickstarter program going on: Kickstarter | Wax Stacks | Portable, Stackable, Record Crates

They look pretty cool and my wife even commented that they would be nice for storing books and kids toys!

Interesting. How high can you stack, do you think?

    Can you build pyramids?

Thats what I currently have also. But as the weight gets higher they seem to get pretty flimsy. I have 9 stacked in a 3 x 3 configuration. I actually use them for my tapes and not records but same basic size and weight.

Yes, they get a bit flimsy if you stack on their sides, but nothing major, just enough to make one a bit nervous. I use mine stacked right side up. Makes it a bit harder to get to the records in the next crate as one must lift the one on top off, but it's another way of using them with more stability. Although I must say 40-50 records (or however much they hold that still allows flip-thru) is awfully heavy.(That explains the flimsiness you experience).

Hmm, let's see. I have a few ancient Egyptian deities hanging about, let me ask.........
Answer: Not really on the pyramids, best possibility is a step pyramid, but not sure on that either.

I will need those in the next weeks. Moving to a flat and the dedicated room will be smaller.

Earliest they will ship is September. I am looking for something much sooner. I may still order 6 now and keep my vinyl in their moving boxes for now. Look quite nice I must say. On the Kickstarter page, they have a video of the CNC machine cutting out the panels. Looks very well made.
