    New Sonus Faber Extrema

With $15 Mio sales margins have to be good considering the party Mono and Stereo were privy too and their creating a speaker for 30 buyers..............

Mike you are right their best achievement were the Stadivari followed by the Amati Anniversario IMHO.

Take a relaxing day trip to Verona, NJ and Amherst, Ma and see if you hear anything that speaks to you musically. Both great dealers with great products and they both deal in speakers that are musical and not "in." Went through the speaker merry go round for almost a decade and still came back to the sound that appealed to me at the start of the journey. One day I will replace the second speaker that spoke to me, but with the outlays on equipment in the last six months, that may be for next year.

I know of (and own) limited edition watches.
I know of (and own) limited edition knives.
I know of (but never owned) limited edition single malt whiskys.
I know of (but never owned) limited edition cars.

Now comes a limited edition speaker! What's next, limited edition toilet paper?

P.S. For me, a two-way speaker is limited indeed, but nothing to do with "edition" but rather with "sound"!

Thanks Jack. I have a few irons in the fire. Bruce is helping me sort through some speakers that I normally would not listen to and Strads have remained high on my list since the first time that I've heard them. Sometimes chasing a deal is no deal. I know what I love and just need to go after it. I still need exposure to other speakers before I make the "final" purchase. Thank you for the advice. I sincerely appreciate it.

    Hi Lloyd,

I highly appreciate your opinion. I think my mind is made up. I just need to pull the trigger. I may try and hold out until mid to late summer. The Strads are the only other speaker still in production that gives me goosebumps and pulls at my heart. Are there other other speakers that are more technically correct, probably, but nothing else speaks to me like the Strads.

Yes, it seems to make the most sense. Now with my luck, the Strads will be discontinued.
