    The new e series are priced so much better may just look at getting a new one. E112 is only 1900 retail and street price will be closer to $1600.

    I haven't heard the new E series yet, but one significant feature that they are missing compared to the more costly Fathom models is the automatic in room equalization.

    On the web site the fathom is discontinued. Is the room correction that import in a sub?

    Are you going to use for 2 channel or HT ? ( The room correction really helped in my case )

    No if your pre/pro has good parametric EQ for the bass (sub channel), yes if not.

    Only Fathom models in the satin finish were discontinued, in gloss they are still available and can be seen here. I agree with other posters that the in room EQ is not that important in a HT application with a preamp/processor, but in a typical two channel system it is very helpful to achieve good integration.

    Old thread, but big discounts if you have time to negotiate.
    JL dropped shipped mine.
    A negotiated New Sub was less expensive than buying Used.

    Hi Paul not a subwoofer kind of guy but still would like to know, what will be replacing the F-113 because i have a friend with 2 F-112 and he is thinking about the Gotham series.
    André - - - Keep it simple system
    Amp = Chord CPM-2600
    Source = Chord One
    Speakers = Acoustat 1+1s highly modified
    Life without Acoustat is possible BUT senseless.

    Same cabinet with 20% more amp power and improved xover- is what I've read heard.
    New model was announced for April but now will be Fall-ish.
