Thoughts on wireless headphones anyone?
I've grown tired of faulty headphone extension cords. Now I'm thinking about going wireless perhaps? I'm aware of three different types of transmission in this area. IR = short range and line of sight, but zero radio interference. 900MHZ - no line of sight required, can go through walls and such, longer range, but very vulnerable to hiss and other noises or interference. 2.4xxxxMHZ - less vulnerable to hiss and other interference. I'm not sure I'd be happy with IR and I know that hiss and other interference would really drive me nuts. I also wonder just how good wireless headphones are in sound quality. I currently have a pair of Sennheiser HD511 cans that I really like. Not from the top shelf, but very good for the dollar! Anyone here use or have used wireless headphones? Thoughts?

Re: Thoughts on wireless headphones anyone?
Thanks, but not a Bose fan myself. I guess headphones of any type are not used around here much at all. In my looking around I also see that there is not much choice for wireless headphones anyway, so back to the drawing board for me. I don't use headphones much myself, just occasionally, so I now figure that I'll just keep buying extension cables as they aren't costly anyway.

I recommend to take a look at sony mdr 1rbt. It's look great, and sound better compared to the Bose.
