What did you decide on after auditioning Siltech?

I think the title is self explanatory. I sold my Siltech loom cause I couldn't wrap my head around the price. Still looking for a replacement, even if its Siltech!!

I have a couple of Siltech 770 RCA and one XLR 770 and I think an AES/EBU. Love them all. Would never give them up.

Re: What did you decide on after auditioning Siltech?

I'm confused, you already had the Siltech and the money spent, so why not just enjoy what you had? Cables usually take a beating in the used market on pricing. So now you want something you will enjoy as much for maybe the amount of money you got from your Siltech?

What's done is done, I would have suggested auditioning potential cables against the Siltech you sol, before selling. That way if you don't find anything better, or, you can at least enjoy for less money, then you know the Siltech wasn't such a bad deal.

Also, Siltech used to have cables at a wide range of price points, maybe try something in the price you want to spend, again.

I've used Siltech New Yorker and moved to Clarus Crimson. The Clarus wasn't cheaper though, the most I've ever spent on cables.

With gear like MSB and Rockport with a 6-pack of subs I wouldn't think you'd want to skimp on cables. Nor, would I have expected to see such a case of buyer's remorse.

I personally like Analysis Plus. For me, in auditioning cables around the same price point it's not so much better/best as it is, which one has the best synergy in my system, the one that makes your system sound best to you. Keeping in mind, better/best is so subjective.

Dude, what's worse than spending a bundle on cables, is doing more than once and keeping the older cables. I still have my Siltech, although it wasn't a complete loom. I've got some Transparent, Tara Labs. Linn, Bluejeans, Anticable, and more odds & ends. I think many are in the same boat.

I know right?! If I had a dollar for every dollar I've spent on cables...I'd buy MORE cables..

You could always give these a try:

    https://zenwaveaudio.com/product/d4-interconnect/

    https://zenwaveaudio.com/product/speaker-cable-1-2/

I have them both. LOVE 'em. Extreme performance for a comparatively modest price. The nice thing is, Dave who makes the cables will send you demo samples for extended audition. So you need to believe no one, just your own ears.

Robert got me into an Inakuatik LS2404 air speaker cable. It was great for the price. Then I got an NF2404 air interconnect. It's nice but not a wow.

Hmm, Similar Metallurgy. Anyone compare these directly to the Siltechs?

    They use Furutech hardware. Interesting....
T+A MP3100HV, T+A PA3100HV. Custom made Furutech cables with ETP-609 distributor with NCF outlets, Magico S3s.
