how to import CDs to my lumin?
I’m coming from the Weiss Man301 to the Lumin U!. The Weiss simply burns the cd in a lossless format to my NAS.. how can I burn cds to my NAS in a lossless format now on my Mac which is devoid of a CD-ROM drive?
is there a simple solution I can purchase that will avoid iTunes? I’m obvious;y happy to purchase a drive and your recommendations will be both helpful and invaluable!

On Mac, try XLD (free) or dbPoweramp ($39, 21-day free trial). Let's see what other members suggest.
Alternatively, you can try subscribing to a streaming music service such as Tidal or Qobuz (if you're in Europe) to avoid the need to rip CD. You can search the web and find sites that give you 90-day Tidal free trial.Peter Lie

Re: how to import CDs to my lumin?
I have disc drives in my PCs (and an outboard drive isn't expensive) but have been using dbPoweramp for years (transferred my license from my old Windows 7 Pro PC to the newer PC not that long ago). It's very simple to use. I then copy stuff to my NAS (and to back-up hard drives). I use a Lumin U1 as well with an EMM Labs DAC 2X in the main system.
Main System - Lumin U2, Modwright LS36.5 DM Preamp, VTV Purifi 1ET-7040SA with tube buffer, EMM Labs DAC 2X (ver. 2), Torus RM-20, Thiel CS 3.7s, 2 Rel S/812 subs
Back-up 1 - Premium Audio mini Gan Amp, Oppo 103D, 2 Richard Gray cond, Selah SA-2s, Sumiko S5 sub, Teac UD-503 DAC, Carver (modded) C-9
Back-up 2 - Onkyo TX-NR797, Panasonic DP-UB820, Vansevers cond, B&W P6s, PowerSoundAudio S1500 sub

Re: how to import CDs to my lumin?
When I rip, I use dbPoweramp since it includes Accuraterip to assure the ripped copy is accurate.

Re: how to import CDs to my lumin?
If your MAC does not have a CD Drive, you can buy an external CD drive and connect it to the MAC via USB.
Then you can use DBpoweramp to rip your CDs and save them to your NAS.
If your Lumin has access to the NAS, then you will be able see and play your new rips.

This is normal with all media across all music companies. To a less extent, the same is true for audio in movies. To alleviate this somewhat, you can turn on Spotify Normalization in Lumin if you...
